About Bubble Shooter

Bubble Shooter is the cosy, endlessly-forgiving cousin of the match-three genre, and it is easy to lose half an hour to it without noticing. A cluster of coloured bubbles hangs at the top, you aim your shooter with a guide line, and firing a bubble into two or more of its own colour pops the whole connected group — clear the board to win, but let the bubbles creep down to the bottom line and it is over. The move that separates a decent player from a great one is thinking structurally rather than by colour: pop the bubbles that are holding a big cluster up, and everything hanging below drops away for bonus points, so a single well-placed shot can collapse a quarter of the screen. Bank shots off the side walls to tuck bubbles into corners the straight line cannot reach, plan around the next bubble waiting at the shooter rather than only the one in the barrel, and clear the low bubbles first to stay clear of the danger line. Free in the browser, playable by touch, best score saved.

How to play

  • Aim with your mouse or finger — a guide line shows where the bubble will go.
  • Click or tap to fire the bubble toward the cluster at the top.
  • Match three or more bubbles of the same colour to pop them.
  • Clear all the bubbles to win. If the bubbles reach the bottom line, the game is over.

Strategy & tips

  • Bounce shots off the side walls to reach bubbles tucked into corners.
  • Aim for the bubbles holding up a big group — popping them drops everything below.
  • Plan around your next bubble (shown at the shooter), not just the current one.
  • Clear bubbles near the bottom first to keep away from the danger line.
  • Save a colour you have plenty of for setting up a big chain drop.

FAQ

Is Bubble Shooter free?

Yes — it plays free in your browser with no download or sign-up, on desktop and mobile.

How do I pop bubbles?

Land a bubble next to two or more of the same colour so the connected group is three or more, and they pop.

What are the dropping bubbles?

When you pop the bubbles holding up others, the now-disconnected bubbles fall and score bonus points.
