How to play
- Press Space, tap, or click to arm a round — a start flash fires, then an end flash fires some time later.
- There is no visible countdown or progress bar between the two flashes — only your internal sense of time.
- Tap again exactly halfway between the start and end flash. The closer to the true midpoint, the higher the grade.
- You have three lives — a false start, a miss, or a badly-timed tap costs one. The run ends when you run out.
Strategy & tips
- The screen stays completely blank between flashes on purpose — resist the urge to count out loud and instead judge the gap by feel.
- The interval length changes every round, so a fixed rhythm from the last round will not carry over to the next.
- A streak of good taps in a row builds a growing bonus, so consistency across rounds is worth more than one lucky perfect hit.
- Tapping too early is treated the same as tapping too late — aim to feel the gap shrink rather than guessing towards either end.
FAQ
How do you play Bisect?
Press Space, tap, or click to start a round. Watch for the start flash, then the end flash, and tap again exactly halfway between the two — there is no visible timer.
Why is there no countdown or progress bar?
The blank screen is the entire point — Bisect tests your internal sense of elapsed time, not your ability to read a clock.
Does the game ever end?
No — Bisect is an endless survival run with three lives. Play continues until you run out.
