How to play
- Move down and around the shaft with the arrow keys or WASD. Each step costs air.
- The deeper you go, the more valuable the treasure — but you spend air getting there.
- You only bank treasure when you climb back to the surface. Reach it before your air runs out.
- Run out of air below the surface and you drown, losing everything you were carrying.
Strategy & tips
- Air is a single tank that only ever goes down. Every step deeper is a step you must pay for again on the way up.
- Bank early and often. Unbanked treasure is worth nothing until it touches the surface.
- Before you take a tempting step down, count whether you can still afford the climb home.
- A greedy run that drowns scores zero for that dive. A modest run you actually surface scores real points.
- Grab 60 or more in one dive for a jackpot, but only if you can make it back.
FAQ
What happens if I run out of air?
If you cannot move to any affordable cell below the surface, you drown and lose all the treasure you were carrying. Your banked score stays.
When do I actually score?
Only when you reach the surface. Treasure you are carrying banks the moment you touch the top row.
Does air refill?
No. Air is one tank for the whole dive and only decreases. Plan the whole round-trip around it.
Does my best score save?
Yes. Your best is stored in your browser, and you can submit it to the weekly leaderboard.
