About Handful
Handful is a push-your-luck game that refuses to hide the odds from you. The basket shows exactly how many good and how many rotten items remain — only their order is secret — and each turn you decide how big a handful to grab before plunging in blind. Bigger handfuls score more, but every extra item is another chance to close your fist around something rotten, and a single rotten one spoils the whole grab: zero points, combo reset. Because everything is visible the math is exact rather than a gamble, so the game is really a running calculation of the rotten-to-good ratio, which swings hard as the basket empties and sometimes makes one careful small grab worth more than a greedy fistful. Clean streaks build a multiplier worth protecting, so knowing when to shrink the grab matters as much as knowing when to reach big. There is no fail state — the basket simply empties and you keep what you scored — which makes every grab a pure, unforgiving risk-reward call. Free in the browser, best score saved.
How to play
- The basket shows exactly how many good and rotten items are left — only the order is hidden.
- Each turn, tap the on-screen +/- to size your handful (or use the up/right and down/left keys on desktop), then tap GRAB.
- Grab a clean handful and you score more the bigger it was, and clean streaks build a combo.
- Grab even one rotten item and the whole handful scores nothing and your combo resets.
Strategy & tips
- Everything is visible, so the odds are exact, not a guess. Weigh the rotten-to-good ratio before each grab.
- Bigger handfuls score more but are more likely to catch a rotten one. Size the grab to the current odds.
- A clean streak multiplies your score, so protect a good combo with a smaller safe grab when rotten items are dense.
- Late in the basket the ratio swings hard — sometimes one careful small grab beats a greedy big one.
- There is no losing, only the score you leave with, so every grab is a pure risk-reward call.
FAQ
Can I see what I am grabbing?
You see the whole basket contents — how many good and rotten remain — but not the order, so each grab is a calculated risk, not blind luck.
What does one rotten item do?
It spoils the entire handful: that grab scores nothing and your clean-streak combo resets to zero.
Can I lose?
No. There is no fail state — the basket empties and you keep your score. It is all about how much you dare to grab.
