Ripple

Ripple asks you to aim in time instead of space, which is a stranger and more satisfying thing than it sounds. You tap open water — never the target itself — and drop a stone that sends a ring expanding outward; a floating buoy pops the moment the ring's growing edge sweeps across it. So the whole game is reading where a wave will be a second from now, choosing the spot whose ring will roll through a whole line of buoys in sequence. Up to three rings can travel at once, and when two crests wash over the same buoy on the same beat you score an interference combo, which is where the big points hide. Meanwhile a slowly rising swell keeps trying to drown the buoys you have not reached yet, so you hold a ripple in reserve for the ones about to sink and lead your shots to account for their drift.
