About Slotter
Slotter turns a sorting algorithm into a reflex test. You keep a row of up to ten numbers in ascending order; a fresh card between 1 and 99 slides toward the deadline, and you must click the one gap where it belongs before it gets there. There is no partial credit and no second chance — pick the wrong gap and the card really is spliced in at that spot, the order visibly breaks, and the run ends then and there. The first card gives you about three and a half seconds. Each correct placement shaves a sliver off the next deadline until, roughly thirty cards into a streak, you are making every decision in about 1.2 seconds. Scoring pays for three things at once: a longer row is worth more per insertion, a quick click adds up to twenty bonus points, and every five consecutive placements raises the multiplier, topping out at ×4. Once the row is full the smallest number falls off the left end, so its shape keeps drifting. Beginners read the row left to right every time; strong players find the card's neighbours by magnitude and are already moving, often on the arrow keys and Enter, before it is halfway there.
