Checkers

Tap one of your pieces to begin.
How to play
- Move your pieces diagonally forward one square onto an empty dark square.
- Capture by jumping diagonally over an opponent piece to the empty square beyond — and keep jumping if you can.
- If a capture is available you must take it.
- Reach the far row to be crowned a king, which can move and jump both directions. Clear all the computer’s pieces to win.
Strategy & tips
- Control the center — pieces in the middle have more moves and influence.
- Keep your back row intact early to stop the computer from getting easy kings.
- Look for multi-jumps: setting up a chain capture can swing the game.
- Trade pieces when you are ahead; keep pieces when you are behind.
- Since captures are forced, you can bait the computer into a jump that opens up a bigger capture for you.
FAQ
Are captures mandatory?
Yes. If a jump is available you must take it, and chained multi-jumps continue in the same turn — standard checkers rules.
Can I beat the Hard computer?
The Hard AI looks several moves ahead and punishes mistakes, but it is beatable with good strategy. Easy is more forgiving.
Is it free?
Yes — it plays free in your browser with no download or sign-up, on desktop and mobile.
Does it keep my record?
