Throw stones and control the house.

Play to set a house, then submit it to the board.

How to play

  • Set your throw power and angle, then release — your stone slides and slows down under friction as it travels up the sheet.
  • Stones bounce off each other realistically, so a well-placed throw can knock obstacle stones out of the house or into position.
  • Your score is the house count — how many of your stones sit closer to the centre than any obstacle stone.
  • Use all your shots, or bank early for a bonus on any you skip. Reach the target score to win.

Strategy & tips

  • A stone deep in the house is safer than one on the edge — closer beats farther when counting control of the centre.
  • Use a lighter throw to nudge an obstacle stone out of the way before committing to a hard shot at the button.
  • Banking early trades potential points for a guaranteed bonus — only worth it once you are safely ahead.
  • Angle matters as much as power: a stone that curls past an obstacle can reach the house a straight throw cannot.

FAQ

How do you play Hogline?

Set your power and angle (arrow keys, drag, or the on-screen controls) and release to throw. Your stone slides and slows under friction, bouncing off any stones in its path.

What is the “house”?

The house is the target circle at the top of the sheet. Your score counts how many of your stones sit closer to its centre than any obstacle stone.

Can I play a fresh puzzle every day?

Yes — Daily mode gives everyone the same seeded layout each day, with a streak counter for playing on consecutive days. Practice mode gives you a fresh random layout anytime.
